Haunting Nights is an event management business who organise evening at haunted venues throughout the UK. They wanted to be able to sell their events online but were struggling as they did not want to take full payment at the point of booking due to all their competitors working in a similar way. The main problem way the huge amount of administration needed to keep up with who had paid and who had not, chasing money from hundreds of buyers all over the country. As the business grew it became unsustainable.
We developed a custom eCommerce build that allowed the user to book for any number of guests, add their guests names for the event register, accept terms and conditions of the eventing and pay only a deposit then the system sends a series of automated emails reminding the user of the deadline for full payment to be received and outstanding balance at the time to ensure that full payment is received at least 4 weeks prior to the event date. The system also has a custom user admin area containing information about their events with downloadable instructions, details of payments made and a leave a review section. We recently added a follow up email after the events requesting a trust pilot review of their experience, all without any admin at all. The system even creates lists of guests and they contact details to be emailed to the hosts so they can check them in on arrival.
